Payroll Premier unable to email payslips, gives report error.

Question

My reports are not opening, it's giving me an error. I cannot email payslips too, I’m getting Halt error and/or Registration information is corrupt. I’m using Multi-User Payroll Premier.

Answer

The user will normally get this error when the data files are kept in subfolders other than the default path. If you are using Multi-user version of Payroll Premier and want to store your data files on the server or another network drive, you will have to set it up as mapped drive. if the file path is not set as mapped drive, you will get this error.

Follow the Payroll premier user guide for the setup of the network folder as mapped drive. Please Note you will have to create a folder in the mapped drive and keep the files in that folder. See KB 5331

Refer to the Payroll Premier user guide page 15 or speak to your network administrator.

The various errors are as below:

1) ‘Error Report already open’, Either report is currently open or the report writer terminated unexpectedly….’

2) 

3) Followed by Error ‘Registration information Corrupt’.

4) 

5) Followed by ‘File access error’. ‘ File D:\***\Reports.dat could not be opened. Error: Invalid Data file (36).

6) 

7) Followed by ‘Halt’, Disk Error.
