How do I ensure that my file is accepted by the Internal Revenue Department?

Answer

There are certain information fields that the IRD requires from your QuickBooks file to identify you and check that basic information is provided.  This information is contained on the Company > Company Information screen.  The information must be complete and in the correct format.

Tax Rego ID

·         Here, use numbers only – do not enter any dashes between number strings

Payroll Tax Form Information

(important for submitting payroll returns)

Information here must be complete for:

·         Contact - person’s name

·         Title – contact person’s title in the organistion

·         Phone # - phone number contact person can be reached.

Legal Information

Where reports require your company’s name and address, it is sourced from the Legal Information (Appears on payroll tax forms) section.

Ensure your details are complete and correct.
