Reckon Accounts Desktop: Changing Customer's Address Details

Question

When I change a customers address details for all future invoices, it also changes it for previous invoices.

Does the ATO allow this?

Answer

When creating new Invoices, Sales Receipts & Refunds & Credits, if you change the address details, you are informed that you have changed the details for the customer and asked if you wish to have the new information appear next time.

If the customer details are edited this will change all previous documents that have already been saved. This is an acceptable practice by the Australian Tax Office (ATO).
