Printer Setup window will not open

Question

Why won’t the Printer Setup window open from the Quicken File menu?

Answer

This issue will occur if the current printer selected in Quicken contains the word "on" in the middle of it.

For example, if you have a printer named "HP LaserJet on Server1" this issue will occur.

To resolve this;

1) Select Start menu > Settings > Printers and Faxes.

2) Right-click the appropriate printer and select 'Properties'.

3) Under the General tab, click in the field next to the printer icon, and then enter a new name for the printer, which excludes the word on.

4) Click 'Ok' to save changes.

Repeat the above steps for each printer that you use in Quicken.

Note: You must have administrative access to a printer to change the name. If you are unable to do this, contact the administrator for your printer.
