'There are no more Files' error when saving the new file

Legacy KB ID: 5576

Question

I’m getting “There are no more files” error message when trying to create new files in Reckon Accounts Business. The error is given when trying to save the file irrespective of the location or the file name given.

Answer

It is found in the rare situation where the customer is using ASUS PC with ‘ASUS Data Security Manager’ application running in it.

It appears that this application has some security mechanism which is restricting the access to hard drive and stopping RAB from creating a new file.

Solution 1:

Try running the PC is selective startup mode following this KB https://kb.reckon.com.au/issue_view.asp?ID=5573 and create the file. It is, however, worth to play around that security software to see if there are any settings you can tick to allow RAB to create the new file.

Please Note ASUS data Security Manager is the property of ASUS and contact them should you need more help around that.

Solution 2:

If the above solution is not successful in resolving the issue and your System Admin allows you, try uninstalling the ‘ASUS data Security Manager’ from the PC and try again.
