How To: Make Account Active is grayed out. Why can’t I make inactive accounts active again? Making inactive accounts active

Question

Why can’t I make inactive accounts active again?

Normally Reckon Accounts allows you to make the inactive accounts active, simply by selecting the "Make Account Active" option in the right-click Context Menu.

(Right-Mouse-Clicking on the name of the account brings up the Context Menu’)

However, I’m unable to select that option to make the account active again, as it is greyed out.

How can I make the account active again?

Answer

Who does this apply to: This condition is applicable to all Reckon Accounts Business or Reckon Accounts Hosted.

Solution:

This situation is by design. It happens if the account is the sub-account of the parent account and if that parent account is inactive.

It can also occur if your file is currently in the Multi-User mode, instead of the Single-User mode.

(Click on the File menu and then select Switch to Single-user Mode)

You will have to make the Parent Account active to be able to individually make the sub account active again.
