Why do I get the message "QuickBooks POS has detected that you do not have the correct version of QuickBooks installed" ?

Note — Please ensure you have QuickBooks Plus 2005/06, Pro, Premier, or Enterprise installed and registered before continuing.

This error sometimes occurs when you have the regional & language options not set to English (Australia) this includes the advanced settings as well change it to English (Australia) and try installing POS administrator and the installation should go through. You should be able to change it back to your own preference once QuickPos is installed.

To find your computer's Regional and Language options, select "START" then "Control Panel", here you will find and icon related to Region and Language, double click that icon and correct the settings there.
