Unable to install QuickBooks POS Admin 2004

Question

When installing QuickPOS Administrator 2004 i receive the message" a registered version of QuickBooks 2004 Pro, Premier or Enterprise was not found"

Answer

This occurs after installing QuickBooks 2005/06 and the registry information has not updated correctly

To resolve this

1. Go to Start>run>type in regedit.

2. Got to hkey_local_machine>software>intuit>highlight the QuickBooks folder

3. Double click in the right hand window POS integration version and change the value data from 14.0\superpro (version dependant on installation) to 13.0\super pro (version dependant on installation) and click ok

4. Install QuickPOS Admin

5. Follow steps 1 and 2
