Question

In Desktop POS Administrator, the Restore function did not restore my settings, why not?

Answer

There are two possible reasons:

  1. For the Backup and Restore function to work POS Administrator must be running on a modern operating system (Windows 10/11).
  2. If you had to re-install a Desktop POS terminal, for Desktop POS Administrator to restore settings to that terminal the terminal ID must be identical to what it was when backed up.
