Synchronization unsuccessful with Error/Reason: "The company file user has insufficient privileges."
Reference ID: RA-1732
For Insights to successfully synchronise data from a Reckon Accounts Hosted Company File, a dedicated User is created for the Company File with Full Access Role.
ISSUE
- A “Reckon Insights synchronisation failed for data feed” email is received for your data feed
- It gives the Error/Reason: The company file user has insufficient privileges.

SOLUTION
Option 1: Full Access Role was not assigned
- Open the Company File in Reckon Accounts Hosted
- Go to Company > Users > Set Up Users and Roles
- Find and select the dedicated Reckon Insights User then, click on Edit
- Select Full Access from the Available Roles pane and click on Add
- Then, click OK

Option 2: Default Full Access role was modified
If the default Full Access role was changed where some Access Level were set to Partial, then a new Role must be created that has Full Access Level.
- Open the Company File in Reckon Accounts Hosted
- Go to Company > Users > Set Up Users and Roles
- Click on the Role List tab and select New
- Enter a Role Name
- Then, set all Role Access to Full, for example:
- Select the Accounting role on the Area and Activities
- Then select Full on the Area Access Level
- Repeat for all the Area and Activities
- Click OK to save
- Assign the new Role as shown in Option 1
