Switch to the new pay run editing experience in Reckon One

Learn how to switch to the new pay run editing experience in Reckon One and why you'd want to.

About the new pay run editing experience

The new pay run editing experience is designed to make editing employees' pay information in pay runs easier and quicker, by:

  • giving you more space to edit multiple pay items
  • reducing the clicks required to update or add items, and move between employees
  • making it quicker and easier to save your changes and see errors.

The new experience is optional. You can switch to it when you go to edit an employee's pay, and you can switch back at any time. We also encourage you to give us feedback, as we look at refining the experience even further.

Updates to the pay runs screen

When you switch, you'll see a couple of updates to the pay runs screen as well:

  • To edit the employee's pay, you'll no longer be clicking on a pencil icon. Instead you'll click on the employee's name in the pay run.
  • To access an employee's profile from a pay run, you'll no longer click on their name in the pay run. Instead, you can access this from the action menu (3 dots) next to the employee's name.

These changes are to make the experience a bit more intuitive, so you can spend less time thinking about where to click, and more time on your business!
