The file you chose is too long or is not a valid file name when adding a logo

Legacy KB ID: 4088

Question

Why do I get the above message when I try to insert a logo into my invoice template?

Answer

This problem has been observed where the QuickBooks company file is stored on some form of removable storage like a USB stick, ZIP drive or other memory drive.

Reckon does not recommend working on company files that do not reside on a hard disk or network drive.

Solution

Copy your company file from your removable drive to a folder like My Documents.

The default directory for QuickBooks company files is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Intuit\ QuickBooks\Company Files\

Open your company file from the hard drive or network drive and try inserting your logo onto your invoice template again.

How did we do?

Cannot delete accounts from a new company file

Message: "No Company Open," "No Company Opened," or "There is no company file open"
