Logos disappear from templates when a file is shared on Reckon Accounts Hosted.

Question

Why do my company logos disappear from my templates after I share the company file?

Answer

Your logos are no longer visible because the location of the logo image has been moved from your Q drive to the shared folder.

When you insert a logo into a template, QuickBooks copies that image from its original location to a folder called filename – images in the same directory as your company file.  The logo in the template is linked to this location.

When you share a company file on QuickBooks Hosted the filename – images folder is not moved.  When a template with a logo is used in a shared file for the first time, QuickBooks cannot find a filename – images folder in the same directory.

You will need to add the image again into your template.

Directions

Open your company file in the shared directory and open an invoice and select the customised template that uses the logo, then:

1.    Click on Customise button > Layout  Designer;

2.    Right-click the background > Add > Image;

3.    Browse to the image on your Q drive > Open > OK

4.    Move and resize the image on your template;

5.    Click OK > OK;

6.    Check the template by clicking on Print > Preview.
