Error: "QBW32 caused a general protection fault in module ACPDF207.DRV."
Legacy KB ID: 1799
Question
Why do I receive the following error when attempting to send invoices, statements, or estimates by e-mail?
Answer
This error typically occurs on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 98 or Microsoft® Windows Millennium Edition. Custom fonts (specialized fonts that may not be commonly available) on the form template may prevent the 'Intuit Internal Printer' or 'QuickBooks PDF Converter' from generating Adobe® PDF file attachments. Both TrueType® and PostScript® Type 1 fonts can cause the error. To resolve the error, edit the form template to replace custom fonts:
- From the QuickBooks Lists menu, choose Templates.
- Double-click the template name to open the Customize [Form] window.
- Click the Layout Designer button on the right side of the window.
- Select a label, field, or text box to edit, and then click Properties in the upper left corner.
- Click the Font button and choose a different font. You may want to use a standard font, such as Arial or Times New Roman.
- Click OK to save the font selection, and then click OK in the Properties window.
- Repeat steps 4 through 6 for all areas that have custom fonts.
- Click OK in the Layout Designer, and then click OK in the Customize [Form] window.
