Question

Why do I get the error: Unable to write HTML data, when I enter the Installation KeyCode into Reckon Accounts Personal?

Answer

Turn on UAC (User Access control)

The Issue

For Reckon Accounts Personal range to install properly and operate as intended on a Windows 10 PC, the UAC must be turned on.

Detailed Instructions

To turn on UAC:

1. Click the Windows Key and the letter X together;

2. Select Control Panel

3. Select User Accounts > Change User Account control Settings

4. Slide the selector to “Always notify”

5. Click OK to Save and close.

Now launch Reckon Accounts Personal range and enter your Installation Keycode when asked.
