Some payment method options in Pay Bills are missing.

Question

Why are some of the payment method options missing in Pay Bills compared to other data files?

Answer

In some instances, the payment methods could be named differently or missing compared to other data files; i.e. Direct Deposit; Standing Order; Bank Online; Cash options.

We have found that this could be due to an online bank account in the Chart of Accounts missing the Financial Institution data.


Details:

1) Go to Lists > Chart of Accounts


2) Right click on an account which is enabled for online banking (with a lightning symbol on the same line) > left click Edit Account

3) Select the Online Bank Details tab > check the Financial Institution field > if blank, click on the drop-down arrow and re-select the correct institution

4) Click Save & Close to save the changes

5) Repeat steps 2 to 4 for all online enabled accounts

Go to the Pay Bills page again and now you should have all the payment method options in the drop-down list.
