Customer currency does not match your currency

Legacy KB ID: 1493

Question

Why does the message 'The customer currency does not match your currency' appear when entering a Sales Receipt?

Answer

This is due to the Tax Agency field being blank in the tax preferences of QuickBooks. You should assign the 'Australian Taxation Office' as the tax agency.

To change these preferences;

1) Choose Edit menu > Preferences.
2) Select the 'Tax' icon and click Company Preferences.
3) Assign 'Australian Taxation Office' in the 'Tax Agency' field.
4) Click 'Ok' to save these changes.

If you are still experiencing the error message, follow the instructions below;

1) Choose Edit menu > Preferences.
2) Select the 'Tax' icon and click Company Preferences.
3) Locate the 'Do you track tax' field and select 'No'.
4) Click 'Ok' to save these changes.
5) Choose Edit > Preferences.
6) Select the 'Tax' icon and click Company Preferences.
7) Locate the 'Do you track tax' field and select 'Yes'.

This will refresh the tax tracking preferences.
