Question

What EFTPOS terminals can I use with Reckn Retail POS NZ?

Answer

Reckon Retail POS in New Zealand is configured to work with Ingenico i5100 amd Quest EFTPOS systems.  Skyzer Nitro can work with Reckon Retail POS but it is not certified with Skyzer, so Reckon does not recommend it or support it.

 

Ingenico i5100

Pinpad option

Use an Ingenico pinpad eg. from the iCT200 Ingenico range (iCT220 or iCT250) which is interchangeable with the Ingenico i5100, supplied by a Paymark approved reseller (it must be set up to use Paymark and not EFTPOS NZ) Contactless payment is optional with the iCT250.

 

Westpac EFTPoS Extra option

Choose the ‘Ingenico i5100 for Westpac EFTPoS Extra’ option to work with all major banks in New Zealand.  No third pary software is required

  1. POS Terminal > Tools > Options > EFTPOS
  2. In the Type field, select Ingenico i5100 for Westpac EFTPoS Extra
  3. In the Connected to field, select the appropriate COM port
  4. In the Tender EFT cancelled field, you may if you wish change the default message: Tender Cancelled
  5. When complete, click on Apply and then OK.

 

Quest

Quest pinpads and software can be set up and used in New Zealand. Contact Quest for details.

  1. POS Terminal > Tools > Options > EFTPOS
  2. In the Type field, select Quest Eftpos Plus (ETSL supported)
  3. In the Captions for section, you can if you wish change the default message that appears at:
    1. Bottom of multi-oart receipt
    2. Top of multi-part receipt
    3. Tender EFT Cancelled
  4. You may if you wish tick the bo to Perform an EFTPOS Terminal Logon after exiting this Options window (one time only)
  5. When complete, click on Apply and then OK.

 

Skyzer Nitro

Reckon Retail POS NZ is not certified with Skyzer and so it is not a recommended or supported solution at this time. However, it may still work.

  1. POS Terminal > Tools > Options > EFTPOS
  2. In the Type field, select PC_EFTPOS fOr ANZ, CBA,…..
  3. In the Tender EFT cancelled field, you may if you wish change the default message: Tender Cancelled
  4. When complete, click on Apply and then OK.

How do I get my POS Terminal to display transactions put on hold on a different Terminal?
