When I edit my barcode, it does not change it?

Question
When editing an item and replacing a previous barcode. It does not hold the changes, after changing the barcode. Why?Answer
Note: Make sure that a backup is created before continuing with the process, so that any major changes can be returned if not satisfied with the outcomes.When editing the item, and replacing the barcode. To ensure that the barcode is changed and edited to the barcode you wish to change now.
1) Enter the new Barcode and replace the old one.
2) Also enter a character on the description field of the item.
3) Press "OK" and this will save the new barcode you have entered.
Note: To Check this, edit the item again, to see if the changes have made effect.
