Customer Job and Billing columns missing on a Bill form
Legacy KB ID: 5050
Question
Why are the Customer:Job and Billable columns missing from the Bill entry form?
Answer
Adjust your screen display settings.
The Issue
When forms are not displayed properly on a screen it is most likely to do with Screen Display settings not being at optimal settings for Accounts Business (previously QuickBooks).
Solution
Try the following until the columns become visible:
1. If viewing Accounts Business in Full Screen mode:
a. Click the Restore Down button (the 2nd of the 3 at top right);
b. Drag out the screen to nearly full screen size;
2. Turn off any Ease of Access features in the Control Panel;
3. In Control Panel > Display:
a. Set Display setting to default (100%)
b. Adjust your resolution setting:
i. Accounts Business is optimised for 1024x768 pixels;
ii. Other settings are usable provided no loss of features is experienced;
c. in custom text size (DPI):
i. set Scale to this percentage… to 100% (9 point Segoe UI at 96 pixels per inch);
ii. tick the box Use Windows XP style DPI scaling
When you have the columns showing again we suggest you Rebuild the Company File and Verify it to set the changes.
If these steps do not fix the issue, rebuilding may still fix it.
