"Postcode is not suitable for online payee, please change to American Format."

Question

When editing a vendor in the vendors list, why do I get this error?

"Postcode is not suitable for online payee, please change to  American Format " -OR-

"Is a invalid name for a online payee, please shorten the name to 30 charcters or less,"

Answer

This is due to a vendor being marked for online payment in the previous or current version.

1. Edit the vendor concerned and add a 1 to the end of the name in the Vendor field and choose to save.
2. Create a new vendor with the same name and details without the 1 at the end and save.
3. Edit the original vendor and remove the 1 off the name. 
4. Choose to save and the program will then ask you to merge the two together, select yes.
