There appears to be a problem with your Tax Table ..... error code TTF

Legacy KB ID: 5480

Question

Why do I get the error: Error LoadLibrary (QBPSCLR) failed – and then the programme crashes?  The sequence of errors is:

1.    Unrecoverable error: Reckon Accounts has experienced a problem and must be shut down.

2.    Error LoadLibrary (QBPSCLR) failed

3.    There appears to be a problem with your tax tax table. Payroll will now be disabled.

Answer

Un-install and re-install Reckon Accounts.

The Issue

This problem has been experienced recently across a number of Reckon Accounts Business year versions.  We have not been able to isolate the reason for this error appearing after the programme had already been running for some time.

The most probable causes are the functioning of your security software after a recent update and/or a recent Windows Automatic Update.  Further testing is needed to isolate and confirm all possible causes of this behaviour.

Workaround.

Un-install and re-install the software.

Close all Reckon Accounts Services:

1.    Open the Services module:

a.    Windows 10, 8, 7 – type services in the Search box and select it from the choices offered;

b.    From a command Line:  type: services.msc

2.    Scroll down the list to the letter Q and stop all of the following services visible:

a.    QBCFMonitorService

b.    QuickBooksDBnn (where nn is the version number of your Reckon Accounts Business)

3.    Go to Task Manage > Processes and end Reckon Accounts processes still running:

a.    QBCFMonitorService

b.    QBMgrN

Uninstall Reckon Accounts in the Control Panel

Install Reckon Accounts.
