Question
Why do I see an extra split line with a transfer to the Tax Control account when I modify the amount for a memorised transaction and allocate and edit splits on entry?
Answer
You must tab through ALL split line fields before you enter a transaction in your bank account register so that CashBook can correctly record or memorise tax amount data. In other words, even though CashBook automatically calculates the tax amount for a split line when you select a Tax Code, you must tab through all fields on the line to confirm amounts. The focus will be on a new blank split line when this has successfully been done.
