Rates differences between timer and Reckon Accounts

Legacy KB ID: 486

Question

Why is there a difference in the total between the timer and the rate within Reckon Accounts?

Answer

When you set up the timer, you may be using hours and minutes as your basis of calculation. When you convert time to a rate there may be differences because Reckon Accounts can only have a set number of decimal places. For example a period of 35 minutes is equivalent to a rate of 0.5833333333 but converted to Reckon Accounts this will only come to a figure of 0.58333.
