You can only upgrade directly to Quicken 2004 from V8 and above. How do I upgrade my data?

How should I upgrade from Quicken version 8 or earlier to Quicken 2005, the 2004 trial upgrade notes say I must be version 8 or above?

If you are upgrading from version 7 or 8 you will need to upgrade to Quicken 2004

before installing and upgrading to Quicken 2005. Quicken 2004 is available on the

Quicken 2005 CD. Follow the steps below to upgrade your data file to Quicken 2004.

If you are upgrading from Quicken 2002, 2002SE or 2004, you can directly upgrade your data file to Quicken 2005.

Upgrading from Quicken 7/8

1. Install the 2004 trial from the Quicken 2005 CDROM
Restore 'all' data files into this trial version and convert the files when prompted
Install Quicken 2005 and open or restore your 2004 data files into Quicken 2005.
