Payment by Credit Card does not mark the Invoice as paid.

Question

Why is a tax invoice that was paid through Reckon Credit Card Payments not listed as paid?  PayPal* has confirmed the payment and the funds have been received into my bank account.  There is no payment entry in the Accounts Business bank register. 

 

Answer

It is most likely that you suffered a communications fault in the last step of the Credit Card Payment transaction.  PayPal accepted and processed the transaction and in its final confirmation signal back to Accounts Business, a communications interruption occurred.  Accounts Business has not received the final check signal to complete the transaction. 

 

Workaround

Process the payment by Cash/Cheque.

Enter a memo noting the communications problem and any Paypal Transaction ID.

* PayPal is the carrier for credit card transactions in Reckon Accounts Business.

 

How did we do?

Sales Total on a Quickbooks Invoice does not meet legal requirements

Although fully paid some invoices are still showing outstanding amounts.
