QBWin.log error: Verify item history Target quantity on order mismatch error

Question

After Verifying or Rebuilding, I see the following error in the QBWin.log file:  “LVL_ERROR --Error: Verify item history Target quantity on order mismatch error:” 

What do I need to do to correct this error?

Answer

The ItemHistUpdateEngine may not have updated the item information correctly which cause the items on the order to not match the item history.

 

Solution

Warning: Before proceeding with the following step, make a backup of your company file.

Remove the items referred to in the QBWin.log file from the order and then re-enter them.

 

  1. Look at the QBWin.log file which will refer to a specific order, item and quantity.
  2. Make notes of the items and the quantity.
  3. Open the order referred to in the QBWin.log.
  4. Delete the items you took note of at Step 2 (don't delete the entire order).
  5. Save & Close.
  6. Run a verify to make sure that the data damage has been fixed.
  7. Return to the order and re-enter the item and quantity that you deleted.
  8. Run another verify to make sure that there is still no data damage.
