Question

When I try to print in Hosted nothing happens, the print window doesn't appear.

Answer

Detail:

To allow Hosted to send a print, you will need to enable popups in your browser for the Hosted URL.

The below instructions show you how to enable popups for each Browser, this setting only applies to the Hosted URL, other websites will still be blocked from showing popups.

However, if you are using Safari, this option to unblock the Pop Ups will apply for all other websites too, as there is no option to apply it just for single URL.


Internet Explorer


When you attempt to print from Hosted, the below information bar will appear at the bottom of your Browser window.

Click the 'Options for this site' dropdown and select 'Always Allow'


Microsoft Edge:

When printing from MS Edge, you will see the Pop-up message like below, saying “Microsoft Edge blocked a pop-up from hosted-connectv82.reckon.com”. You can select the option ‘Always Allow’ and it will open the printing as PDF file in new tab. You can now print that PDF file.

 

Chrome

After attempting to print from Hosted, you will see the below icon in the top right hand side of the address bar



Click this icon, the below message will appear

Select the 'Always allow pop-ups' option.


If you now create a print job from Hosted, the Print job will automatically appear in a new tab.


Firefox

When you attempt to print from Hosted, the below information bar will appear at the top of your Browser window.

Click Options and select allow pop-ups, Hosted will now be able to print and the print job will automatically open in a new tab

 



Opera


After attempting to print from Hosted, you will see the below icon in the top right hand side of the address bar

This this icon and the below window appears.

Select the 'Always allow pop-ups' option.


When you print out of Reckon Accounts Hosted, the print job will now appear as a new tab in your browser.


Safari:

When printing from Safari, you may not get any prompt or such notifying that the popup is blocked. Your print command just appears to be doing nothing and is void.

To disable the Pop Up block for Reckon Hosted,

1) login to your Hosted account from Safari.

2) Go to Safari Menu on top -> Preferences -> Websites-> 

2) Select Pop-up Windows.

3) The hosted site will be listed under currently open sites. Select 'Allow' under the currently open websites, to allow the pop up for Reckon Hosted site.
