Have not received confirmation that BAS was processed through GovConnect

Question

I have completed my BAS, filled all the details in GovConnect and submitted to the ATO but as yet I have not received a confirmation that it was successfully accepted. 

Answer

When a submission through SBR has been accepted by the ATO, Reckon GovConnect will give you the message:  “The BAS G Business Activity Statement has been successfully lodged”.

This will be due to either:

·         your internet connection was interrupted at the precise time the acceptance signal from the ATO was being transmitted;

·         the SBR portal was experiencing some difficulty at the precise time of submission.

 

Workaround

Wait for a reasonable time for a confirmation.  Then:

·         launch GovConnect by clicking the icon on the desktop or from the default location:  C:\Program Files\Reckon Limited\Reckon GovConnect - Activity Statement Lodgement\;

·         follow the prompts until you get to the List Response screen – this screen shows the returns required and their due dates;

·         If this BAS is not on the list then your BAS submission has been accepted. 

·         If this BAS is on the list then you will need to submit the BAS again.

 

Before re-submitting your BAS, check the SBR website at www.SBRstatus.gov.au for information regarding interruptions to the SBR system. 

Any further questions regarding submissions should be addressed to the ATO.
