Self-onboard in Reckon Mate

Learn how to set up your profile in Reckon Mate (including entering your personal and contact information and banking, tax and superannuation details), so you can onboard to a new employer.

Before you use Reckon Mate

Before you can use Reckon Mate, your employer needs to invite you from within Reckon One or mobile application, and you'll need to have a Reckon account. If you are new to Reckon when invited, you will receive an invitation email that asks you to verify your employment. You will then be prompted to create Reckon account.

Download and sign in to Reckon Mate

  1. Search for Reckon Mate on your iOS app store or Google Play store:

  1. Tap Sign in then enter your Reckon email and password. If you don't remember your password, click on the Forgotten password link and enter your email address.
  2. Tap Get started.

Enter general details

Personal details

  1. Check and enter personal details. First name, Last name, Date of birth, and Gender are required.
  2. Your name will be pre-filled from your Reckon account details. You can override any pre-filled information.
  3. When ready, select Continue.

Contact details

  1. Check and enter contact details:
  • To enter an additional mobile number, check the Mobile number is different to contact number checkbox.
  • To enter a separate postal address, check the Postal address is different to physical address checkbox.
  • To add a second emergency contact, select the Add emergency contact button.
  1. When ready, select Save & continue.

Enter bank account details

  1. Enter your bank account details for the account that you want to be paid into.

If your employer has already added your bank account details, your account information will be prefilled and you may see different bank accounts with different pay allocations assigned to them. You can override what's been entered, but it there's multiple allocations, you won't be able to delete or edit the order of them.

If entering your own bank account details, you will only be able to enter one bank account. If you want to be paid to more than one bank account, contact your employer to enter additional bank accounts for you.

  1. Once done, select Save & continue.

Enter and confirm tax details

  1. If your employer has already added your tax details, this section will be prefilled and you will need to check it carefully. Otherwise, enter details as required.
  2. Once done, select Save & continue.

Nominate a super fund

Nominate a super fund for your superannuation to be paid into.

  1. Select one of the options:
    1. Use my existing super fund (if chosen, you'll be directed to enter your super fund details)
    2. Join my employer's default fund (if chosen, you'll be shown the default fund details)
    3. Don't nominate a fund (if chosen, your employer may contact the ATO to request your 'stapled super fund' or pay your super into their default super fund. You can contact your employer to discuss.)
    4. Join a new fund (if chosen, you'll be given selected funds to choose from).
If you want to nominate more than one superannuation fund, contact your employer to enter additional funds for you.
  1. Select Save & continue.

After you've set up your profile

When you've set up your profile, you can use Reckon Mate to view and download your payslips, check leave balances and view and edit your information. Your employer will get an email telling them that you've set up your profile, and they will need to finish the setup process in Reckon One to complete your onboarding.
