QuickBooks Hosted company file backup is missing

Question

I backed up my QuickBooks Hosted company file, accepting the default options presented.  Now I can’t find my backup. Where is it?

Answer

Sometimes when you backup your QuickBooks Hosted company file you are presented with the default folder C:\QBWBackup\.  This location is on the QuickBooks Hosted Server and although a Hosted User can save a file here, it is not accessible to you to restore it. 

Workaround

When backing up, in the Save Backup Copy:Options window,  select Q: (your personal directory on Hosted) as the destination for your backup.
