Reports Not Calculating The Correct Dates.

Question

When I open a report and choose a date range such as last financial quarter the dates it uses are wrong.

Answer

1)     Select the File Menu, select "Company Info"

2)     Select the correct month in the "First Month in Your Financial Year" & "First Month in Your Income Year"

3)     Click OK

If you are running QuickBooks 2007/08 or then you need to continue with the following steps:

4)     Select the File Menu ( if you are running QuickBooks 8.1 or below), or Edit Menu (if you are running QuickBooks 2002 till 2007/08) then select "Preferences"

5)     Select "Tax" in the left hand column.

6)     Select the "Company Preferences" Tab

7)     In the Field marked "Period When Your Tax Reporting Begins", select the correct period

8)      Click OK this should correct the report's date range

 

If you are running QuickBooks 2008/09 or Higher then you need to continue with the following steps:

 

9)     Go to your suppliers list

10)  Find the Australian Taxation office à Right mouse Click it and Choose Edit

11)  Choose the Tax Agency Info and adjust the reporting period accordingly
