Hosted freezes after a short period of operation

Question

While I’m working on my company file, why does Reckon Accounts Hosted freeze after a short time of operation?

Answer

Disable any security software extensions in your browser.

 

The Issue.

This issue is related to the enabling of browser extensions for Security Software.  You are likely to experience this freezing with Google Chrome and Norton Antivirus extensions, but it can happen on any browser with any security software extension.

 

Workaround

Disable an extension in Google Chrome.

(Care: you will lose the features of the Security Software in the browser)

  1. In the address bar of Chrome type in chrome://extensions;

  2. Find the security software extension and untick the Enabled box;

  3. Close the browser.
