When saving a transaction the message received is "You must assign an account to this transaction"

Question

Why, when saving a transaction do I get the message "You must assign an account to this transaction"?

Answer

This message appears when you enter a transaction with a Tax Code on it, but you don't have a Tax Agency selected in Preferences.

Go through the Edit Menu, Preferences, Tax and select the ATO as the Tax Agency, you will now be able to enter transactions with tax.
