Question

How do I install the Home Inventory Manager and open my existing file in Reckon Accounts Personal?

Answer

To install Home Inventory Manager and to open your existing file, follow these steps:

1. Windows 10 users should check that .Net Framework 3.5 has been turned on first.
   1. Go to Control Panel.
   2. Select Programs and Features and/or Programs.
   3. Select Turn Windows features on or off.
   4. Expand the box .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0).
   5. Tick all boxes for .NET Framework 3.5.
   6. Click OK.
   7. Allow Windows to download the files for you.
2. Navigate to the Reckon Accounts Personal installation folder.
   1. Go to Local Disk (C:\) or This Computer (C:\)
   2. Go into Temp.
   3. Go into Reckon Accounts Personal 20xx.
   4. Go into HAB.
   5. Go into Disk1.
   6. Run the file Qhinstall.exe.
3. Continue with the installation.  At the end you will need to reboot your PC – click on Restart.
4. Once the PC has restarted click on the Reckon Essentials Home Inventory icon on your desktop.
