No Drop Down arrow for Customer Messages in Invoices

Question

When I enter an Invoice I don't have a drop down arrow next to my Customer Message and can't recall previously entered messages. How can I recall these messages?

Answer

The customer message drop down arrow wont appear if at some stage you have deleted all the Customer Messages in a file.

To get the drop down arrow for Customer Messages back;
1) Close CashBooks.
2) Select Start menu > Search > For Files or Folders.
3) Click 'All files or folders'.
4) Search for a file named 'Quicken.ini'.
5) Double click this file, it will open in Notepad.
6) Change the line that says 'custmsg=0' to 'custmsg=1'.
7) Close the file and save changes.

The customer messages drop down arrow will now appear in the Customer Invoice screen.
