The Employee TFN in the Super Export file is longer than NAB SuperPay allows

Legacy KB ID: 5222

Question

Why do I get the error: The Employee Tax file Number is longer than allowed; when I upload my Super Export File to NAB SuperPay?

Answer

Note: NAB Superstream has been retired by NAB and is no longer available for sale to new customer since July 2017.

Re-enter the Tax File Number for the employees affected on their records, ensuring you enter numbers only and no spaces or dashes.

The Issue

Earlier versions of Reckon Accounts allowed greater variation in the entry of the Tax File Number. Reckon Accounts Business therefore allows the TFN field up to 15 characters to allow these earlier entered numbers.

New entries are constrained to 9 characters and to pass the validity check so this problem is unlikely to arise for many users.

Workaround

Re-enter the Tax File Number for affected employees ensuring you enter numbers only and no spaces or dashes.
