My data file loses integrity after importing a QIF file in multi-user mode

Legacy KB ID: 5736

Question

I imported a QIF file whilst in multi-user mode and added transactions to my register using multiple rules. If I now try to verify my data file, I get a message that says 'A data problem prevents Reckon Accounts from continuing'. After acknowledging this error, performing a rebuild fixes the problem.

Answer

This problem only occurs when importing a QIF file in multi-user mode. If possible, please import the QIF file in single-user mode then proceed to use transaction rules.

If you do not wish to import the QIF file in single-user mode, please rebuild your data file after matching and applying transaction rules.

The development team are currently investigating this problem.

Reckon apologies for the inconvenience.
