Reckon Accounts Hosted: Cannot export to IIF

Question

Why can’t I export my data to an IIF file? 

I get the message that I need to be the Admin User of the file. 

My Hosted login is set as the Administrator role.

Answer

The Admin user is the default user and “built-in Administrator” of the file.

In Reckon Accounts Hosted, this user has a number of rights not available to other users given Full Access rights. These include:

• Importing and exporting data
• Cleanup Company Data
• Working Trial Balance
• Managing Fixed Assets
• Setting a Closing Date & Password.

You cannot create a second Admin User. 

Solution

Login as the Admin User of the company file.
