Cannot export to IIF in Reckon Acounts Enterprise and Hosted

Question

Why can’t I export my data to an IIF file?  I get the message that I need to be the Admin User of the file.  I am an Admin user.

Answer

The Admin User is the default user and “built-in Administrator” of the file.  In Accounts Enterprise (and Reckon Accounts Hosted) this user has a number of rights not available to other users given Full Access rights.  These include:

·         Importing and exporting data

·         Cleanup Company Data

·         Working Trial Balance

·         Managing Fixed Assets

·         Setting a Closing Date & Password.

You cannot create a second Admin User. 

 

Workaround

Login as the Admin User.
