WT PAYE tax code is not calculating a tax amount

Question

Why doesn’t the WT PAYE tax code calculate a tax amount according to the tax percentage entered in the Tax % field?

Answer

Set the Tax Tracking Type for payroll items assigned to employees with the WT tax code to ACC Levy Exempt.

The Issue

The WT PAYE tax code is used for contractor and other schedular payments.  These employee types are exempt from paying the ACC Levy. 

In Accounts Business only payroll items with the Tax Tracking Type of Acc Levy Exempt will calculate a tax when WT is set as the tax code. 

Workaround

Create appropriate payroll items with a Tax Tracking Type of Acc Levy Exempt for contractors and others receiving scheduler payments.
