Question

Why is my Trial Balance report incorrect after upgrading to QuickBooks QBi 2008/09?

Answer

In order to confirm if your trial balance is correct, you will need to change your reporting preference to Cash - Gross.

To change the reporting preference:

  1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences
  2. Click Reports & Graphs in the list on the left
  3. From the Company Preferences tab, select Cash and Gross in Default Reporting

* Note: This issue has been acknowledged and will be rectified in the next service pack[SP2]. However, it will only take affect if you are currently using QuickBooks 2007/08 and upgrade directly to QuickBooks QBi 2008/09 SP2.
