Transactions put on Hold prior to a Promotion starting then Retrieved during the Promotion, use Prom

Question

Why does my retrieved transaction show the promotional price applicable now and not the price that applied at the time the transaction was put on hold, before the promotion started?

Answer

Reckon Accounts has been set to use the lower of the two prices available for the transaction on the basis that a customer may choose not to process with the sale if the item is now available at a lower price. 

If a transaction it put on hold before a promotion starts and retrieved when a promotion is in progress, the promotional price will be used.

If a transaction is put on hold during a promotion and retrieved after the promotion has finished, the promotional price will be used.
