Error message 6175,0 Reckon Accounts is trying to access the Company but the database server is not responding

Question

Why when I try and switch to multi-user, I get the error message of the database server not responding?

Answer

This would generally happen due to some services being stopped and in order to fix this you need to Restart your PC, ensure you Log on as a Windows Admin/Domain Admin and follow the steps below:

  1. Right Click My Computer and select Manage 
  2. Double click Services & Applications
  3. Double Click Services
  4. Stop the following two services by right clicking the service and selecting Stop - ReckonAccountsDBxx
  5. Check that Reckon Accounts Database Manager Service " ReckonAccountsDBxx " are Started and have the Startup Type as Automatic.

33 - Reckon Accounts 2024

32 - Reckon Accounts 2023

31 - Reckon Accounts 2022
