Error message 6175,0 Quickbooks is trying to access the Company but the database server is not responding

Question

Why when I try and switch to multiuser I get the error message of the database server not responding?

Answer

This would generally happen due to some services being stopped and in order to remedy you need to Restart your PC, ensure you Log On as a Windows Admin/Domain Admin and follow the steps below:

1. Right Click My Computer and select Manage 

2. Double click Services & Applications
3. Double Click Services
4. Stop the following two services by right-clicking the service and selecting Stop
    - QuickBooksDBxx
5. Check that QuickBooks Database Manager Service " QuickBooksDBxx " are Started and have the Start up Type as Automatic

26 - Reckon Accounts Business 2017

25 - Reckon Accounts Business 2016

24 - Reckon Accounts Business 2015

23 - Reckon Accounts Business 2014

22 - Reckon Accounts Business 2013

21 - Quickbooks 2012/13

20 - Quickbooks 2011/12

19 - 2010/11

18 - 2009/10

17 - 2008/09
