Accessing and upgrading to Reckon Payroll from Reckon One

This guide will explain how you can access and upgrade to Reckon Payroll as a Reckon One customer. 

You must upgrade to Reckon Payroll to be compliant with Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 (STP2). To upgrade, you must complete the STP2 checklist in Reckon Payroll. Once you upgrade, you won't have access to Reckon One's payroll features.

Requirements

You must be assigned either the System administrator role or the Payroll administrator role to be able to view and upgrade to Reckon Payroll.

If you have employees in the horticulture and shearing industry, you can now upgrade.

Access Reckon Payroll from Reckon One

You can access Reckon Payroll and Reckon One's payroll features until you complete the STP2 checklist to upgrade.

  1. Select Go to payroll in the green banner at the top of your screen in Reckon One.

  1. Enter your existing Multi-factor authentication (MFA) code
  1. Select Continue. You can now use Reckon Payroll and continue to access Reckon One's payroll features.

Complete the STP2 checklist to upgrade

Once you upgrade to the new experience, you will be using Reckon Payroll for all payroll processing needs. You won't be able to use Reckon One's payroll features.
  1. Select the link Ready Checklist from the banner
  2. Or select STP Phase 2 ready checklist under Settings.
  1. A two-minute demo video about STP2 is presented on an introduction screen. Your data is already available, enabling a seamless upgrade. Learn more about how to be ready for Phase 2 of Single Touch Payroll
  1. Select Upgrade and start preparing for STP Phase 2. You will be prompted with a warning, advising that once you upgrade, you will no longer be able to use Reckon One to do your payroll. Please be certain that you are ready to upgrade and select Yes, Upgrade to continue.
  1. Once you have upgrade, certain menu options are no longer available in Reckon One. Accessing Reckon One Payroll section will display Payroll and SuperStream. Selecting Payroll will open Reckon Payroll, requesting MFA.
  2. Selecting Settings displays 2 options, Payroll setup and SuperStream services. Selecting payroll setup will open Reckon Payroll
  1. You will find the payroll settings you need in Reckon Payroll under Settings.
  2. You can still access your employees under the Reckon One Contacts Centre, but when selecting the Personal, Employment, Tax, Leave or Pay set up tabs, you will find a link to view this data in Reckon Payroll.
  3. If you wish to navigate back to Reckon One from Reckon Payroll, simply select the Product Switcher (the 9-dots grid icon at the top left), which will open and display the relevant products.
  4. If you have multiple books, you can switch between the books by selecting the arrow at the top left of the screen. All books that have the payroll module, will be displayed.
