QIF Bank Statement file converts to QBO but is not delivered to the Online Banking Centre

Legacy KB ID: 5516

Question

Why isn’t my Bank Statement file available in the Reckon Accounts Online Banking Centre?  The QIF file did convert to a QBO file and was associated to my bank account.

Answer

Save the QBO file to a different location or a different name.

The Issue

When you convert a QIF Bank Statement file Reckn Accounts offers to save the QBO file to the same location with the same name (but with the file extension QBO).  (If you have previously saved a QBO file with this name to this location, the older version will be overwritten with this version.)  If this file becomes corrupt then Reckon Accounts will not be able to open it.

Workaround

Convert the QIF file again and this time select a different location and/or a different file name to ensure a new file is created.
