Question

An employee went on extended holidays without benefits and was disabled on the Pay Run.  When he resumed work Payroll Premier credited him for Annual Leave for the time he was away.  Why?

Answer

You will experience this issue if the employee has leave calculated on a time basis, like Pays, Weeks, Months, Years.  The current pay date is compared to the last pay date and Annual Leave is accrued for the time between the two pays.

Workaround

Manually adjust Annual Leave accrued to the correct amount.
