Answer

You will need to move your file back to the default location on a local PC.

To move your company file to a local PC:

1.    On the PC that you are using, launch Payroll Premier;

2.    Click File, then Setup Network Data Path;

3.    Select the default directory:

Windows 7 & Vista:  C:\QPRollvXX\Data

Windows XP:  C:\Program Files\QPRollvXX\Data

Where XX represents your version of Payroll Premier:

                                          i.    32 – 2023/24

                                         ii.    31 – 2022/23

                                        iii.    30 – 2021/22

and untick “Use Existing Files Located At The Server Path” and click Save;

4.    Payroll Premier will copy your data files, reports, tax scales, etc to the local directory.

When you have completed working with Payment summaries, copy the file back to the network path:

1.    Click File, then Setup Network Data Path.

2.    Select the default directory:  e.g.:  P:\Payroll Data and untick “Use Existing Files Located at The Server Path” and click Save.

3.    Payroll Premier will copy your data files, reports, tax scales, etc. to the local directory.

4.    On the other PCs you will need to reset the network path:

a.     Click File, then Setup Network Data Path.

b.    Select the directory you created on the network server, leave “Use Existing Files Located At The Server Path” ticked and click Save.

c.    You will be prompted you to select a file from the network data path. Simply select your company file and it will open from the network path.
