Bi-Monthly Employees have pay dates for pay run change.

Question

Why do employees being paid on a bi-monthly basis, have the pay date of their pay run reset to a past date? 

Answer

This issue affects employees being paid on a bi-monthly basis only. 

When the datafile is rebuilt, bi-monthly employees will have the Pay End Date and Date Paid for the next pay run reset to their first pay.

 

Workaround

Whenever you rebuild a datafile you will need to manually change the Date Paid and the Pay End Date for the next payrun. 

Detailed Steps

1.    Prepare the pay run as normal

2.    Click Process Pays

3.    On the Process Pays window, click on Dates

4.    Manually change the Pay End Date and Date Paid for bi-monthly employees to the correct dates

5.    Complete the pay run.
