PAYG and Super amounts dont refresh if you adjust a saved pay and change the Payment Date as well

Question

I have prepared a pay for an employee and saved it but have not processed the pay run.  However, I need to correct the Payment Date and change the hours worked.  When I re-enter the Review or Change Payments screen and make the changes, the Gross Pay changes correctly but PAYG Tax and Super do not update for the new amount.  Why?

Answer

When editing the details of a current payrun, you can only change details for the current Payment Date.  If you change the Payment Date the PAYG and Super details are locked and will not respond to any further changes. 

 

Workaround

Either:

·         Delete the pay and redo it;

Or:

·         Manually update the PAYG and Super amounts.

 

Ensure you have entered the correct Payment Date before entering details for the pay.
